 — High-speed broadband internet expansion continues to be a major priority for the Kandiyohi County Board. The commissioner will receive an update on where projects stand and consider sending out letters of support to be included in the county’s Border to Border grant application.

The board meeting begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the board chambers at the Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services building in Willmar.

Also on the agenda is approval of a County Veteran Service Office Operational Enhancement Grant Program, through the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs and approval of a limited use permit between the county and the Minnesota Department of Transportation over the to-be-constructed pedestrian underpass near Long Lake.

After the action items are completed, the commissioners will meet in a work session to continue their discussion on what to do with the remaining American Rescue Plan Act dollars the county has. The subject will be child care with presentations from Sarah Swedburg from the Kandiyohi County and City of Willmar Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Commission and Michelle Marotzke of Mid-Minnesota Development Commission.
