Executive Director

Eric has always centered his career on the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» region, where he was born and raised. He is dedicated to improving the standard of living for all of our region’s residents. With a background in social work, workforce development, and organizational leadership, Eric strives to be useful and is happy to serve our Commission and the stakeholders of this dynamic region. He values respect, innovation, dedication, fairness, and levity.
In his free time, Eric enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife Sommer, daughter Bailey, son Spencer, granddaughter Atlas, and their family dog, Weather (a small German Shepherd mix). He also enjoys traveling, both throughout the U.S. and abroad, as well as boating (mostly drifting with his feet up), watching dramatic and suspenseful movies, reading crime fiction, and even a little cooking. The Fugitive and Top Gun are two of Eric’s all-time favorite movies, but certainly not because he finds their characters at all relatable. Minnesota’s own John Sandford is his favorite novelist.
